The purpose of this research is to analyze the word formation processes of the word formation in the threads of XDA developers about ROM Jelly Bean 4.1 for Xperia U (www.xda-developers.com). It also aims to know the change of morphophonological process on the words. The era of smartphone makes people find many terms relate to the technology, especially the terms of android. The other purpose of this research is to make people familiar with for some words or terms in android. This research uses qualitative method and bibliography technique in collecting data. The writer uses theory by Donka Minkova and Robert Stockwell about word formation to classify the data and structural morphology by Eugine Nida to analyze the data. The selected words which have been analyzed are 24 words, which are related to the terms of android. From the two research questions, the result of analysis shows that the most word formation process used in the thread are ten of compounding words and eight of derivation words. Besides the result of word formation that is found in the data, from the process of analyzing. The research also finds some lists of morphemes, process of morphophonology and the existence of terms or words that refer to the dictionary of computer and technology.
