A metaphor is a part of figurative language to say something in another way. Sometimes the use of metaphor describes two different words but still on one meaning. This study describes the meaning behind metaphors in all too well (10 minutes version) song lyrics by taylor swift. This study aims to find the kinds of conceptual metaphors and understand the meaning. This research used a qualitative method to conduct the research. In analyzing data, the researcher used the conceptual metaphor by lakoff and johnson to identify the kind of metaphor. The researcher analyzed the meaning of the metaphor contained in the song. The research found some kinds of conceptual metaphors: one phrase of structural metaphor, two phrases of orientational metaphor, and thirteen phrases of ontological metaphor. The meaning of each phrase is varied. Every phrase in the lyric shows the sense of the bad experiences of someone’s love story. The songwriter used conceptual metaphors to describe a broken relationship
