A lot has happened since the publication of the second edition of Connecting Young Adults and Libraries in the spring of 1998. I have completed my tour of the country with speaking engagements in Mississippi and Arkansas, thus completing the task of bringing the Libraries to all fifty states, not to mention Australia, New Zealand, and several Canadian provinces. Everywhere I go, I meet thousands of people involved in the day-to-day job of serving young adults in schools and public libraries. In these past six years, my work has changed; thanks to the best practices that have been shared with me and the presentations and conferences that have helped me devclop my ideas, I am very happy and message of Connecting Young Adults and excited to share those changes with you here.
